Flour + Water Handcrafted Pizza

We’re Bringing the Pizza Party Home

From Our Pizzeria to Your Freezer: We’re making your freezer the source for restaurant-quality pizza that’s right at home. Crafted in our award-winning Flour + Water Pizzeria in North Beach – San Francisco’s “Little Italy”– our co-chefs Thomas McNaughton and Ryan Pollnow applied the same meticulously-sourced ingredients + time-tested techniques to develop our frozen line. Each pie is handmade by our Pizzeria’s expert pizzamakers just like those served hot from the oven to our guests.

Where to Find Us: We’re rolling out in the freezer section of your favorite Bay Area-based independent retailers Bi-Rite Market, Rainbow Grocery, Dolores Deluxe, and Of All Places. You can also find us at select Whole Food Market and Woodlands Market stores within the region.

The Whoa is in the Dough

A four-day process, the slow-fermented dough is formed with North American wheat to create our signature airy texture. Before adding sauce –and each pie’s toppings + fior di latte cheese– a thin layer of dried mozzarella is applied directly on the dough to ensure the crust stays perfectly crisp. The 13-inch round pies are par-baked at our Pizzeria, and then immediately flash-frozen for the best possible quality.

The Details

We’re making our frozen pies at our Pizzeria in San Francisco and hand-delivering them to local stores throughout the Bay Area. For our initial launch, you can find us at NorCal independent retailers, as well as select Whole Food Market stores within the region.

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 450 degrees.

Step 2: Place your frozen pizza directly on your hot oven rack + bake for 8-10 minutes or until the cheese bubbles + the crust is golden brown.

Step 3: Finish strong.

  • Margherita - Drizzle with EVOO and/or finish with grated parmigiano reggiano.
  • Pepperoni - Finish with oregano or a drizzle of hot honey.
  • Cacio e Pepe - Finish with freshly ground black peppercorns or grated pecorino romano.

To ensure your at-home pizza experience emulates the pizza experience you’d have at our Pizzeria, we partially bake each frozen pizza in our high-powered electric deck ovens. This process gives the crust structure and our signature light charring on the base and perimeter of your pizza. When you finish it in your home oven according to the package instructions, you’ll see the difference with a pie that looks like it came straight out of a pizzeria oven.

Because our master pizzamakers at our Pizzeria are making each pizza by hand, there will be variations between each pie. It’s a sign of quality and the exceptional care that is going into every pizza we make.
